Are you certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery?
Each plastic surgeon at the Plastic Surgery Center of Hampton Roads, Drs. Vonu, Blanchard, Zwicklbauer, and Lofgren, are board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
Our surgeons are also members of numerous professional organizations, including the American Board of Plastic Surgery, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Medical Society of Virginia, the American College of Surgeons, the Southeastern Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons and the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.
Were you trained specifically in the field of plastic surgery?
Dr. Vonu is board certified in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and did his plastic surgery residency at the University of Florida.
Dr. Zwicklbauer is board certified in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and did his fellowship in plastic surgery at the Medical College of Virginia.
Dr. Blanchard is board certified in Plastic Surgery and completed his plastic surgery training at the University of Tennessee.
Dr. Lofgren is board certified in Plastic Surgery and completed his plastic surgery fellowship at the University of Miami.
How many years of plastic surgery experience do you have?
Our plastic surgeons have over 75 years of combined surgical experience, and they have the skills to deliver natural-appearing results, and you’ll be safe in our American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities, Inc. (AAAASF) accredited surgical center.
Where and how will you perform my procedure?
PSCHR has its own pre-operative care center unique pre-operative care center. The center was designed and built with patients in mind to include private and cozy pre-op rooms, a laptop area and a waiting room for family and friends.
PSCHR performs most procedures in our state-of-the-art, accredited, fully appointed surgical center in the Oyster Point area of Newport News. Our voluntary participation in meeting the stringent guidelines of the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities, Inc. (AAAASF) confirms our commitment to patient safety and surgical excellence. Facilities accredited by the AAAASF are often safer than hospital facilities.
