Education and Experience
Before joining the Plastic Surgery Center of Hampton Roads in 2010, Dr. Lofgren had distinguished himself in plastic surgery with his academic achievement, extensive training, and clinical experience. Dr. Lofgren graduated with honors from Hartwick College in Oneonta, NY. He went on to excel in medical school at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, VA, receiving his medical degree in 2003.
During his general surgery residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School, he was elected into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha medical society. Dr. Lofgren then completed his plastic surgery fellowship at the University of Miami in Miami, Fl. He was a fully trained general surgeon prior to pursuing plastics. He currently enjoys working as a community faculty member in partnership with Christopher Newport University in training tomorrow’s medical providers.
Since returning to the Hampton Roads area, Dr. Lofgren has become recognized as a leader in both cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. As a member of the Mentor LEAD Advisory Board since 2014, Dr. Lofgren is part of a select group of nationwide plastic surgeons invited each year to discuss the latest advancements and innovations in breast augmentation technology.

Personal Life
Dr. Lofgren grew up as the eldest of five children with his parents in upstate New York. He enjoys flying and holds a private pilot’s license. Tournament poker, including playing in the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas, as well as traveling to find new adventures with his two daughters occupy his time while away from the operating room.
