“I’m a huge believer in more than one consultation when choosing a plastic surgeon. I had a breast augmentation in 2015 and had three consultations before deciding who my surgeon would be. Fast forward to 2023, I started looking for a surgeon for a tummy tuck, muscle repair, and lipo of the flanks. I surveyed local moms who have gone through the procedure and got Dr. Blanchard’s name multiple times along with another surgeon, so I scheduled consultations with both. Let’s just say I never made it to the other consultation… Dr. Blanchard is just the warmest, most empathetic Plastic Surgeon I’ve ever met. He was thorough during my consultation, explaining his “way” of performing this procedure and even expressed it’s his favorite procedure to do. The nurses, Patient Care Coordinator (Holly), and just the entire staff was fantastic. I even requested to see Dr. Blanchard again a week later because I came up with more questions and he obliged, and gave me as much time as I needed. I am now 9 days post op and I am convinced he’s a wizard. Having my muscle repaired was first and foremost, when deciding to go through this procedure. The aesthetic result is simply a bonus, and man, he nailed it! My incision is perfect, and low, low, which he promised. My waist is smaller than it’s ever been and I am still very swollen, so I cannot wait to see my final result. I trust Dr. Blanchard and the staff at PSCHR wholeheartedly. I highly recommend the practice and think Dr. Blanchard should definitely be on your list of surgeons to interview.”

“So this is way past due however what better time then the 2nd year anniversary. I came to Dr. Z on a strong recommendation from a co-worker of mine. When I walked in I was so nervous because it’s a surgery and no one what’s to be botched, but Dr Z. & his staff was so professional and answering every question that I had. I love how he will recommend what works best for your body so you won’t walk around looking crazy with medical issues in the long run. “I am 17 weeks post-op from my initial surgery and I am 5 weeks post-op from my second surgery. Both performed by Dr. Vonu who truly has gifted hands and the most pleasant calm temperament. He performed a tummy tuck and lipo on my back/bra-area. And because I am the smartest person on this side of the Mississippi, I used a heating pad to aid with the swelling (NEVER Do This). Well, I burnt myself really bad on my abdominal area. After immediately contacting the office, they requested that I come in for a visit (at this time I was about two weeks post-op). Dr. Vonu said, “we will get this right!” He and his staff treated me for the burn for several weeks and did not make me feel stupid in making such an awful decision. Once the burn was healed enough, Dr. Vonu went back in to remove the burn area. Now my results are the most amazing. Family, friends and co-worker all cannot believe the transformation. Dr. Vonu and his staff are nothing but the most kind and the best in this filed. This office, specifically Dr. Vonu was recommended to me along with some other surgeons but I am so glad I made the choice of Plastic Surgery Center of Hampton Roads. To be a physician/surgeon one must have a love of his/her craft and a love of people, “Love is art. So, be an artist and spread love and happiness”.
