At Plastic Surgery Center of Hampton Roads, we offer a lash lift treatment to boost the volume and length of your lashes while also giving them a long-lasting curl. While curling your eyelashes, applying mascara or applying false eyelashes can give the appearance of fuller lashes, it can be a hassle. A lash lift is a quick but long-lasting treatment that helps you save more time on your daily routine. If you’re looking for a lash boost but want a treatment that is lower maintenance than eyelash extensions, this might be the right option for you.
What is a Lash Lift?
A lash lift is a semi-permanent treatment that is comparable to a gentler perm, as it curls your lashes and enhances them, giving a beautiful, natural and uplifted appearance. After one of our highly-trained professionals makes sure your eye area is clean, they will apply a silicone mold to your eye. They will then adhere your eyelashes to the mold and apply a special lotion, called a lifting lotion, to keep them curled. You can also choose whether you would like a tint to be applied, which will make your lashes appear darker. The effects of this treatment should last for about 4 to 6 weeks.
After Your Lash Lift
At Plastic Surgery Center of Hampton Roads, we want to make sure your lash lift is long-lasting. This means following some guidelines to ensure you get the best possible results. Here are some tips to keep in mind after you receive your treatment:
- Avoid getting your eyelashes wet for 24 hours
- Don’t rub at your eyes or touch your lashes
- Don’t wear any makeup for 24 hours
- Don’t wear waterproof mascara or put any other oil-based cosmetics or products near your eyes
- Avoid sleeping facedown
- Wear sunglasses during sun exposure
- Let us know if any redness or irritation occurs
Are There Any Risks Associated with a Lash Lift?
A patch test is recommended before we continue with your treatment. This ensures that you are not sensitive or allergic to the solution we use on your lashes. If you have especially sensitive eyes or are prone to allergic reactions or infections, this treatment may not be the best option for you.
However, our estheticians are highly-trained professionals, and this is a low-risk treatment. It does not damage your lashes, especially since eyelashes regrow about every 6 weeks. If you have any further questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to reach out to us by requesting a consultation. We look forward to helping you achieve longer, fuller lashes!
