Minimally invasive body contouring with Coolsculpting
Most everyone has a bit of stubborn fat—and sometimes a healthy diet and regular exercise routine just don't cut it. If you'd like to slim down or recontour your tummy, thighs, or hips but aren't interested in surgery, it may be time to consider CoolSculpting®.
What is CoolSculpting?
CoolSculpting is a 100% nonsurgical fat reduction treatment that uses the power of cooling to reduce troublesome fat cells. Using a proprietary technology called cryolipolysis, the CoolSculpting applicator gradually pulls heat from your fat cells, effectively "freezing" them to the specific temperature where breakdown occurs.
Because the technology is specifically tuned to impact only your fat cells, the surrounding muscle, tissue, and skin will be unaffected by treatment. Once the fat cells in the treated area are dead, they will be naturally metabolized by your body over the course of about three months.

Advantages of CoolSculpting
Here's what makes CoolSculpting so great:
- It requires no needles, surgery, or downtime
- Treatment 35 - 60 minutes depending on your needs
- Results are long-lasting if you maintain a stable body weight
- Results show up gradually and naturally, so it won't be obvious you've had any work done
Ideal candidates for CoolSculpting
While many patients can benefit from the fat reducing powers of CoolSculpting, ideal candidates should meet the following criteria:
- Want to reduce localized deposits of fat
- Have "pinchable" areas of fat on the tummy, thighs, hips, or back
- Interested in trying non-surgical treatments
- Are at or near a healthy body weight (CoolSculpting is not a weight loss alternative!)
Consulting with a board certified plastic surgeon is the best way to determine which fat reduction options will work best for you.
CoolAdvantage™ Applicator for CoolSculpting
CoolSculpting just got a little cooler, thanks to a new applicator that cuts treatment time in half! With a new design and shape, the CoolAdvantage applicator, we are able to deliver safe, effective treatment to a wider area—with increased comfort and better results.
Advantages of CoolAdvantage™
Here are a few of our favorite things about CoolAdvantage:
- More direct contact plus lower temperatures means your treatment is now just 35 minutes
- A wider surface area reduces suction pressure and makes treatment more comfortable
- Less fat is pulled into the device, so you don't end up with the "frozen stick of butter" immediately after treatment
- In CoolSculpting's clinical studies, 85% of study subjects preferred CoolAdvantage to the traditional CoolSculpting applicator
What parts of the body can CoolSculpting target?
While CoolSculpting can be an effective option for many areas, it is FDA-approved for reducing excess fat on the stomach, hips, flanks, and outer thighs. Because of the design of the applicator and the way the system works, the area you want treated must have "pinchable" fat.
This means that CoolSculpting is not a good option for treating facial fat or a double chin and may not work on very lean patients.

How is CoolSculpting performed?
Before your CoolSculpting treatment, you'll change into a robe and get comfortable in a soft chair. We will mark out your troublesome areas and apply the CoolSculpting applicator to the treatment area. For the first few minutes, you may feel a slight suctioning followed by intense cold. Your skin should numb and the rest of your treatment should be relatively comfortable.
During treatment, many of our patients relax with a book, catch up on work, or even watch videos! After about an hour, we'll remove the applicator. You'll be able to return to normal activity right away and, over the course of about 90 days, you should notice the area slimming down and tightening up.

CoolSculpting vs. Liposuction
Both CoolSculpting and liposuction can provide great results for the right patient. Which option will work for you depends on your natural anatomy, what concerns you have, and your desired results.
CoolSculpting is a great option for reducing small to moderate bulges on the hips, trunk, or thighs without surgery. It is best for patients who are happy with their overall weight and size but would like to tone or contour a specific area. It is not a replacement for liposuction.
Liposuction is a surgical option for more dramatic fat reduction and body sculpting. It can be performed most anywhere on the body, including the face, neck, and other areas that aren't a great fit for CoolSculpting.
