Microlaser Peel
Who Is a Candidate for a Microlaser Peel?
If your skin is showing signs of aging or from an active lifestyle, including sun damage, wrinkles, scars, and acne scars, then you may be a candidate for a microlaser peel. You may consider a microlaser peel if you need something more than microdermabrasion or chemical peels.
What Is a Microlaser Peel?
The microlaser peel is an intra-dermal laser peel that precisely ablates the outermost layers of the skin. The procedure is individually tailored to the nature of the condition being treated.
How Many Treatments Will I Need?
The procedure is typically repeated 2 to 4 times, spaced 6 to 8 weeks apart, but more peels can be done to achieve the desired result.
How Long Is the Healing Process?
Healing takes 3 to 4 days. Your skin will look and feel as if you have a sunburn. You will experience sloughing or peeling on the 2nd or 3rd post-op day, and the redness will begin to fade and can easily be covered with makeup on the 4th day.
